The Brookside Staff

Lead Teaching Pastor: Kevin Crawford

In addition to his role at Brookside, he is the lead church planting coach for the Great Lakes Disctrict of the EFCA: coaching individual church planters, leading a monthly cohort of church planters, and teaching at national events on church planting. He and his wife, Dulcie, have four sons (Colin, Micah, Caleb, and Jacob) and reside in Bowling Green.

CHURCH ADMINISTRATOR & PASTOR-IN-RESIDENCE:
SAM SCHMITT

Sam moved to Bowling Green in 2009 to attend college, first as a music student then as a political science major. While in college, Sam became a Christian largely due to his relationships with Brookside and Cru students and staff. He graduated with a degree in political science in 2013. Sam joined the Brookside staff as an intern in 2014, joining the staff team as an administrator and pastor-in-residence in 2015. He and his wife live in Bowling Green. Sam loves books, good conversation, music, and Jesus. In May of 2014, Sam married the beautiful and brilliant Ann, a BGSU graduate who is way out of his league.

Bookkeeper: Erin Kessler

Erin has been attending Brookside since 2008, and joined the staff as a bookkeeper in January 2016.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from BGSU, and works part-time as an Operational Accountant for Apio, Inc., a local manufacturer and distributor of fresh produce.  Erin and her husband, Bo, were married in 2006 and have two children (Will and Sarah).  They enjoy serving at Brookside in a variety of ways, but are most passionate about serving together to pray for Brookside, it’s people, and the surrounding community.

Director Of Cru:
Lori Brittenham

Lori graduated from Mount Union College in 2008 and has been on staff with CRU at BGSU since 2009. Upon making her home in Bowling Green in 2009, she was immediately drawn to the people of Brookside and their genuine love for others -- she has, since then, made Brookside her church home and married the handsome and hilarious Zach Brittenham and added their charming son Lander to the family. Lori is an Ohio State Buckeye fanatic, has her beverage of choice found in a soy chai latte, has developed a recent passion for playing (and winning) spikeball, and has a dream of becoming a surfer one day. More than anything, however, Lori has a passion for college students to know Jesus and loves getting to invest in their lives through the ministry of Brookside and CRU.
